SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday Schoolgoes out to our April Sunday School Rotation teachers who were Cindy Koelsch, Jeff Swart and Dana McHann.  Thank you for sharing your time and talents and going the extra mile to teach the children about the birth of the church.  I can’t say enough about our 3-4 Explore Preschool Team this year!  Thank you for all your creativity and time put into stirring up our youngest ones in their faith.  Thank you Sandy Christensen, Cindy Hobbs, Cindy Stanton and Jeremy Leetch.   Our 07-08 teachers were Jessie Sheldon, Caden Lindgren, Cindy Biewen, Geri-Anne Zubich Crouch, Jen Buss, Lana Edmundson, Caitie Dieman, Al Housch, Karen Goodroad, Gretchen Marble, Emma Larson, Lisa Larson, Emily Barker, Jeff Swart and  Gerraine Morseth.  A huge thank you goes out to Alyssa Henrickson for walking alongside and encouraging the K-1st graders in their faith walk the entire year.  Also, thank you Naomi Gutz for teaching the Confirmation Class this year.  Finally, thank you parent(s) and congregation members for continuing to encourage and teach the children to spread the love of Christ to all!  Great Job everyone!  Together we made a difference!

Kara Larson
CYF Coordinator

May 5th is the last day of Sunday School.  Don’t miss out on the party day!  This will be a time filled with music, games, prayer and maybe even treats!  All teachers are invited to come back for this final day to celebrate with us.  We will also be acknowledging them during our opening time.

HomeTaking the Message Home
Family Devotions:  Read together Matthew 22:37

Caring Conversation:  Where do you see new life growing?

Family Service:  The weather is warming up and it’s time to get outside and see all the beautiful signs of spring.  Remember to bring a bag with you to pick up trash.

Family Prayer:  Say a rainbow prayer.  For every color of the rainbow, think of something God created of that color and give thanks!

Our rotation based program is a kid-friendly, teacher friendly, and facility transforming way to teach Bible stories and truths. Teachers sign on for 3 weeks in the workshop medium of their choice -- teaching nearly the same lesson each week to different classes depending on age level. Classes rotate into a different stations each week but stay with the same story for a few weeks, learning it in depth through a variety of media. Lesson plans are created from Shepherd of the Hills Sunday School resources.
