Guitar Classes are open to everyone on Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:30 pm in the youth room. We thank Ali Raney for teaching again this year. No experience necessary. Please let Ali know if you need a guitar.

Third Sunday Lunch

Join Pastor Kimberly and other faithful adults for lunch the third Sundays of the month after worship. Meet at noon at the doors by the office. Here is our schedule for 2009-10:

December 20: no Third Sunday Lunch for Christmas break
January 17: Pancheros, Bloomington (84th & Normandale)

Special thanks to Virgil Aarness and Ed Edmundson for putting a new ceiling in the youth room. Thanks, too, to Kevin Wicks, Steve Grams, Alyssa Edmundson, Jake Edmundson, and Sam Koelsch for painting the room. It looks great!

Fellowship
Our 9th-12th graders meet weekly in Cell groups on Wednesdays for discussion and prayer. Senior high youth are also encouraged to teach or shepherd (guide younger students) for Sunday School. Service projects and events are regularly offered for this age group.

Teens Encounter Christ

Many of our senior high and college students work with or attend TEC weekends.

Where: St. John’s Lutheran in Mound, Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, and Lord of Life in Maple Grove

What it’s about: TEC is a peer ministry aimed at helping teenagers spend a few days immersed in God’s love. During this time, they hear talks, two given by clergy, and seven given by other youth who have previously attended a TEC weekend. These talks are geared towards sharing a personal perspective on how we experience God in our daily lives. Along with these talks, the youth encounter prayer, worship, singing, food, sharing, fellowship, fun, and other activities which promote the idea that God truly does love us!
