Children are an essential part of our ministry at Shepherd of the Hills. We are so thankful for our kids and their joyful spirit and enthusiasm for life and for God.
Welcome:
Kids of all ages are welcome here. Through our ministry we want to help children learn about God’s almighty and everlasting love for them and for the world God created.
Our Goals:
We want kids to know that they are beloved children of God, uniquely and wonderfully made. God knows them and loves them for who they are right now. We also want our children to learn the stories of faith by exploring the stories of the bible. We learn these stories through storytelling, art, music, cooking and drama.
Finally we want children to know that we love God by loving others. We want kids to learn how to welcome and care for others: friends, neighbors and even strangers. We want kids to know that God is with them every day and will never let them go.
Our Programs:
Our Sunday School program is offered for kids age 3 through 5th grade. It takes place on Sunday mornings upstairs in Ranum Hall and the Good Shepherd Room. Visitors are welcome at any time.
On Wednesday evenings kids are invited to join our WAM program. WAM (Worship, Arts and Music) is led by Emily Koski. All kindergartens through 5th graders are welcome to join. The children’s choir usually sings at our 10:45am service the third Sunday of the month.
