World Hunger Sunday
Have you ever wanted to become a ONE Lutheran and just never know where to start? Read through your bulletin inserts for all the details. Please also consider using the envelopes in the pews to support the ELCA World Hunger Appeal. The fair trade cart is staffed between the services on World Hunger Sundays. When you purchase coffee, tea, chocolate, and/or cocoa, you support inner city youth and 3rd world farmers, giving them a future with hope.
What is Fair Trade?
When you buy coffee, tea, cocoa, or chocolate on the 2nd Sunday of every month,
you are benefiting inner city youth and farmers
all over the world. These products are "fairly
traded," which means that the proceeds
actually go into the hands of those who do the
work and need the income to survive. Without Equal Exchange, the "middle man" would take all of the
profits and leave third world farmers impoverished.
Without City Kid Java, many
teens in Minneapolis wouldn't have hope for
the future. Now they are learning business skills
they will use for a lifetime. Here's our product
