The Vision to Action Process
The following goals have been formulated
through a prayerful process of discovery and
discernment that began in the fall of 2004
with a congregational survey answered by 110
members. The church council and other lay
members studied the results to identify dominant
areas of need on which to focus our efforts.
They were:
-
Addition of an elevator
- Interior and exterior property maintenance
projects
- Community outreach - mission
- Associate pastor and youth staffing
- Reaching people without church homes
- Market SOTH for growth
Survey results also affirmed these previously
existing priorities needed to support our
mission:
- Worship
- Christian Growth
- Evangelism
- Caring Ministry
The planning group then split into teams to
develop goals to help meet the needs identified
by the survey. Implementation of many goals
has already begun while others will be addressed
in the coming years as it is possible and feasible.
Amending Our Constitution
Please click on the link above if you would like to read through our amended constitution before the annual meeting on Apr 30th. The congregation may approve the proposed amendments with a majority vote at our upcoming April annual meeting. If approved, the congregation must then ratify the proposed amendments without change and with a two-thirds majority vote, at the next annual meeting, for the amended constitution to become effective.
