Holiday Services
Rally Sunday and Neighborhood Block Party - September 9, 2012: Worship at 9:30am and then our annual neighborhood block party at 11:00am. All are welcome! We will worship together with both our traditional choir and organ and our contemporary band at 9:30. Following the service out in our parking lot we will host free hot dogs, beverages, games, bounce house, entertainment and a pot-luck extravaganza! We'll celebrate until 12:30pm.
Thanksgiving Eve, November 21st, 7:00pm: A family tradition at Shepherd of the Hills, we will worship together at 7:00pm and following the service we give thanks over treats, bread, and fellowship.
Lessons and Carols Service, December 9, 9:30am only: A long held traditional at Shepherd of the Hills. We sing and enjoy traditional Christmas music and begin to read through the Christmas story of Jesus birth.
Sunday School Christmas Program, December 16, 4:00pm: Our students will help us prepare and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Don't miss this joyful, energetic, and fun family opportunity!
Christmas Eve 4:00pm and 9:00pm: Both services are traditional liturgical Christmas services led by our choir and organ.
Ash Wednesday 7:00pm: A traditional Ash Wednesday service including the imposition of Ashes.
Lenten Services, Wednesdays, 7:00pm: Wednesday evenings February 29 - March 28. We come together and worship using the Holden Village Prayer Around the Cross service. Led by pastors and lay leaders.
Maundy Thursday 7:00pm: Students receive their first communion on Maundy Thursday as we begin our Easter preparations.
Good Friday 7:00pm: A traditional service that reminds us of our own human frailty and the lengths to which God goes to demonstrate God's love for all people.
Easter Sunday 9:00am and 10:45am: Our 9:00am Easter Service features our traditional liturgical worship and 10:45 features our contemporary worship band.
