David Surdez Organ Recital
30 years! What were you doing 30 years ago, 1982? David Surdez was starting as Organist for Shepherd of the Hills. 2012 is our year to celebrate David's 30 years of service to Shepherd of the Hills. We have certainly enjoyed his musical talents and happy spirit these many years.
Plans are underway to have a concert on February 26, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in which David will perform some of his favorite organ and piano pieces for us. He'll also direct a choir for a part of that presentation.
A celebration service is being planned for late spring to commemorate his service to our congregation. A composer is already working on a pair of organ pieces in David's honor. We will hear the premier of those works performed by David in our own sanctuary.
