Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church

Choir

Shepherd of the Hills has two singing groups which provide regular music at our worship services. See below for more details.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir leads the traditional service (9:00 am) in liturgy and song. The choir meets for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the sanctuary, however, practice time changes during the Lenten season. The choir sings a wide variety of music from traditional to contemporary and accompanied to a cappella. Each year the Chancel Choir presents a special Christmas service called "Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols." This service is steeped in tradition as it has been presented by the choir for more than 25 years. If interested in joining the Chancel Choir, please contact David G. Surdez at (651) 227-2456.

Shepherd Song

Shepherd Song is an adult contemporary choir singing music from several different genres including spirituals, christian pop, gospel, traditional hymns, and world music.  The choir is led by Emily Therrien and sings for the 10:45 am service on Sunday mornings, with rehearsals from 7-8pm on Monday nights.  The Shepherd Song bunch is spirited, flexible, and fun!  Please contact Emily if you would like more information at emily@sothchurch.com.
