VBS JULY 28 – August 1
Power Lab is this summer’s Vacation Bible School for ages 3 (those entering Sunday School in the fall) through kids entering 6th Grade. Make sure to give your child this amazing experience of learning about God’s Word - and Jesus! We will engage the children with fun, science-themed surprises.
We need your help to insure that we will have another successful VBS. Look for registrations to come any day and a sign up to volunteer for this amazing week. Below are descriptions of some ways to help out, however if these are not for you, don’t worry, we have plenty of opportunities.
Decorating Team: These volunteers transform the Sanctuary and the Narthex for VBS. This is great for those who have to work during the day and like to be creative.
Preschool Teachers: 3 or 4 teachers are needed to teach each of our preschool classes.
Games Leader: This volunteer leads the outdoor games each day.
Bible Teacher: This volunteer leads the bible lesson each day.
Crew Leaders: These volunteers shepherd a group of kids and encourage them as they go through their daily rotations. No teaching required, and Jr. high up to age 100 can volunteer!
CAMP
Going to Bible Camp? Make sure to sign up to drive either to camp or pick up from camp. Please call or e-mail Kara to let her know. Watch your mail for camp information.
1st-5th Grade Camp at Luther Park Bible Camp, June 15th-20th
All first through 5th graders are welcomed to enjoy a week of faith growing experiences through singing, bible studies, swimming, crafts and much more. Cost is $305 for full week and 195 for a partial week (this reflects a $75 scholarship – 50 for partial week).

6th – 8th Grade Confirmation Camp at Green Lake Bible Camp, June 15th – June 20th
6th through 8th graders can enjoy a life changing experience by attending this exceptional week of hiking, swimming, free time, arts and crafts, Capture the Flag, softball, basketball, Bonkers, daily Bible study, spirited worship, canteen time, volleyball, and music. Cost is $300. (This reflects a $75 scholarship.)

9th – 12th Grade Summer Leadership Camps at Luther Park Bible Camp, June 15th – June 20th
9th through 12th graders can enjoy one of three life changing experiences.
TIM (Teens in Mission) for 9th graders is an experience that will prepare you for a year of ministry to bring back to Shepherd.
LT (Leadership Training) for 9th-12th graders is an experience that will teach you how to lead devotions, Bible studies, worship and games; all in the great outdoors!
Leadership Mentoring for 10th-12th graders is the next step after LT to become an effective leader. You will expand on the training you have already received while training to become a mentor to younger LT’s. (Prerequisite: TIM or LT)
